For those of you who are not 62 or older, Amtrak is offering a special 10% discount for dancers attending DC Diamond Circulate. The special convention fare code number is X54T-941. The fare is available from April 1 - April 22, 2009. You must mention this code while making your reservation to receive the savings off of the lowest available fare. No other discounts apply, The discount is for travel to Washington DC - Union Station. You cannot book this fare online. It does not apply to the Auto Train, or Acela service. The discount is applicable for sleepers, business class, or first class seats. To obtain the discount, call 1-800-872-7245 to make your reservation.

More fine print: the convention discount cannot be used with the senior discount. You don't have to worry about blackout dates, because no blackout dates occur during the April 1 - April 22 period.
