26th IAGSDC® Convention, Washington, D.C.
Pssst! Greetings. You’ve discovered the web page for DC Diamond Circulate, the 2009 IAGSDC convention. We’re waiting to welcome you to Washington, DC, April 9 through 12, 2009.
Washington is an international city full of spies and international intrigue, but with a small town feel - the neighborhoods are full of ethnic restaurants and shops, the museums are full of amazing art and history, and the landmarks are full of national secrets and scandals not to mention secret agents, looking for an international square dance convention! Come taste the variety only a city like Washington can provide.
We realize that scheduling the convention during Passover and Easter may raise questions for you. As time gets closer to the convention, the web site will publish information about Passover Seder and Easter services for dancers who want to attend religious services.
Spring really is the best time to visit Washington. The famous cherry blossoms should be in bloom, and, in fact, the National Cherry Blossom Festival will be in full swing (March 28 - April 12, 2009 - visit National Cherry Blossom Festival for more information). The thousands of historic or just plain fun locations within easy travel distance are beautiful at this time of year.
Visit this site often - changes will be added regularly. We’ll be updating and decoding the local information and tourism pages, especially, so watch for new items.
Please read through this site carefully. It’s got a lot to tell you....
